Today, we honor the real Patriots.

The real Patriots.

The real heroes.

U.S. Troops

The name of my blog is “We are all Patriots”. This comes from the postgame speech of Super Bowl 36 when Robert Kraft said something like, “Spirituality, Faith, and Democracy are cornerstones of this country. We are all Patriots. And tonight, the Patriots are World Champions”

This speech meant so much, especially after 9/11. That’s why i think it’s especially apropos  that a team named the Patriots should win the Super Bowl after 9/11. I think that Super Bowl meant so much for the Country. The Patriots, choosing to be presented as a team. Wow. That showed the unity of this Nation. 13.5 point underdogs: America is the true underdog story. Fighting for independence in 1776, and again in 1812 because England didn’t think we were for real. All topped off by Mr. Kraft’s “We are all Patriots”…

I. Love. Rodney Harrison.

There is no doubt in my mind that he’s one of the greatest safeties in NFL history. And there is zero doubt that he’s one of my favorite players to ever throw on a New England Patriots uniform.

Rodney Harrison, one of my least favorite patriots of all time. Not just Super Bowl 42 (just punch the ball, not the arm,Rod) but now as he rips current players as if he’s never played the game. Sure, hes done great things too (Super Bowl 39) but now he’s just an old man with no respect.
